Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery training, certification, and credentialing are available for surgeons at all skill levels. Prior laparoscopic proficiency is NOT required.

Surgeon Training Journey at a Glance:

Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery training, certification, and credentialing are available for surgeons at all skill levels. Prior laparoscopic proficiency is NOT required.

1. Pre-Technology Training

  • Online learning modules
  • Simulation lab sessions at NISA Premier Hospital

  •  Live case observation at NISA Premier Hospital

  • Preparation for hands-on technology training (animal/cadaver lab) at MicroPort® Training Center, Avicadem University – Istanbul, Turkey or Shanghai, China

2. Wet Lab Training (Technology Training)

  • Certification issued for Console Surgeon and Patient Bedside Assistance upon completion

3. Post-Technology Training

Proctored Cases:

  • 5 cases (with prior laparoscopic training)

  • 10 cases (if no prior laparoscopic training)
  • Independent credentialing after successful proctoring
  • Faculty support and mentorship

  • Ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
